Literature Text

He wrote his love across her
Rose petal wrists, in the teeth
Marks on her bottom lip and in
The curves of her hips.

He wove his promises through the
Loom of her vertebrae, star dust
Poetry and godly metaphors dancing
Through the labyrinth of her bones,
To settle in her lungs and be exhaled
With the will-o-wisp of of her breathing.

She wore his signature, inked into
Her parchment skin - she was his
Masterpiece

[and she knew it.]
